Meatshank/Scavangers/2010 CD Review

Meatshank are a band from Kansas City, Missouri that mixes thrash and death metal together and this is a review of their self titled 2010 album "Scavangers".

Drums alternate between slow, midpaced to fast drumming with some blast beats being used at times, while the bass playing is kind of mixed down low in the mix and seems to follow the riffs that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars mix slow, midpaced to fast metal riffs together that combine thrash and death metal together, while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding metal guitar solos that also contain some melodies to them, as for the accoustic guitars when they are utilized they bring a classic sounding 80's metal ballad feel to the music.

Vocals are mostly thrash style vocals with some ocassional death metal growls, while the lyrics cover violent themes, as for the production it has a very heavy and somewhat professional sound to it.

In my opinion MEatshank are a very good extreme metal band that brings back the sound of 80's underground metal and if you are a fan of that style, you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Atmosphere Of Violence" "Rape, Murder, Ason, And Rape" and "Hell Road". RECEMMONDED BUY.
